The Academy Awards are set to air on Sunday February 24 at 8pm on ABC and Oscar diehards are anxious to see who is going to take home the award for best actor. This year’s nominees almost all played real people, but which one of them captured their subject best?

Check out the nominees below and vote for who you think will take home the Oscar this weekend.

Christian Bale, Vice

No one physically transforms themselves quite like Christian Bale. For Vice Bale packed on 40 pounds to play Dick Cheney in Adam McKay’s darkly comic look at the former vice president and how he became one of the most controversial characters in American political history.

Bradley Cooper, A Star Is Born

Director, musician, actor, Bradley Cooper did almost everything in A Star Is Born. But will his portrayal of aging rocker Jackson Maine end up earning him a best actor nod? If not he can always fall back on his Oscar performance with Lady Gaga.

Willem Dafoe, At Eternity’s Gate

This is Willem Dafoe’s fourth Oscar nomination and second consecutive nom after getting recognized last year for his work in The Florida Project. This year he’s up for best leading actor for his turn as Vincent Van Gogh.

Rami Malek, Bohemian Rhapsody

Rami Malek has cemented himself as the favorite to win best actor this year after he took home the category at the Golden Globes, beating out a number of his fellow Oscar nominees for his role as Freddie Mercury in the Queen biopic Bohemian Rhapsody.

Viggo Mortensen, Green Book

Green Book has drawn praise as well as some pretty loud criticism for an over-simplified and at times too rosy portrayal of the Jim Crow South. Despite the controversy both the film itself and Mortensen’s work in it earned Oscar nominations. But have they done enough to win?
